I'm fascinated with stories, particularly those that play with our expectations, forcing us to question what we consider the norm. My imagination is fueled by The Cthulu Mythos, A Song of Ice and Fire, Blade Runner, and all matter of science fiction and fantasy media.
I desire to be able to connect with stories on a deeper level, for the people and places to feel real. My illustrations allow me to do this. While I do not work in a strictle realistic style, I seek to create worlds that feel lived in, that a viewer can relate to. As I work, I constantly am asking myself "How can I make this feel more real?". The use of digital media allows me build up those small details and textures that add life to my work.
